Full Overhaul

When a clock mechanism has reached the stage at which wear in the pivot holes and pivots is preventing correct functioning of the clock, a full overhaul is necessary. This consists of the removal of the mechanism from the case. The mechanism is then fully dismantled and all parts undergo a two stage ultrasonic cleaning process using professional specification clock cleaning solution. The pivots are then re-finished to restore a smooth bearing surface. Attention is then turned to the clock plates which are re-bushed to ensure proper alignment of the wheels. The mainsprings are inspected and replaced as necessary and the mainspring barrels are re-bushed as appropriate. The mechanism is then re-assembled, lubricated and all adjustments made. The mechanism is then subjected to a preliminary test and if it passes is then returned to its case. The Clock is then set up and tested to ensure it is working correctly. This work includes a 12 month warranty.
